What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Installed this 1x1 crossbar for my prinsu rack. The shark fin antenna won't work with the rear 1x2 bar that came with the rack so I had to order a 1x1.
(yes I know I could have installed the 1x2 bar vertically, but no. Just no)

 

Ugh... found out I’m the newest recipient of the ol’ rodent problem. Up to about $1400.00 in wiring harness damage now.

Paid it off last month, now I get to give a charitable contribution to Toyota.

Might I ask why the “no, just no” part of the post? I have a Prinsu on the way and was just going to turn the last one sideways as most do. Is there a reason not to, other than because of the “looks”?

 

Getting tired of people riding my rear as if they can't quite decipher what I drive.

 

I picked up a $20 ($15 after coupon) "Traction Button Mat" from Northern Tool to use as a bed mat.

Installed the front tie down rail that Toyota should've included from the factory.

 

For me looks actually had nothing to do with it. I think the vertical look is just fine. Mine was more being nitpicky about aerodynamics. A 1x2 vertical piece is going to be less aerodynamic than a horizontal one, or a 1x1. I know it may be a microscopic minimal amount of drag, but with the roof rack up there already sucking up 1-2 mpgs, I figure anything I can do to help is worth it.

Also, the slightly increased cost of drag vs the cost I paid for this 1x1 probably doesn't work out in my favor, but still. I was going for a slightly more aero setup.

 

Took the doggo skijoring. The fuel pump somehow got us out and back (despite being subject to the recall).

New year, new shoes..had new wheels installed after a month of waiting for it. Next are tires !

 

Ordered new BLACK OUT Iowa personalized plates (tags) today. Should look great on my Black TRD Off Road.

 

I do the same thing in some cars. Haven't needed to in the Taco, but yeah I hear ya... It's annoying having your head canted forward.

 

Got a great deal on this Prinsu rack from a fellow TW member this past weekend. Installed it and love the look! Also installed my radio knobs by TacoMods and they are awesome as well.
