Around 180 ft/lbs. The stock bolt is pretty stout. The long breaker bar method really only works for manuals

There isn't a better crank bolt that I know of, it just holds the pulley in place. It's primary function is retention. It's not a press in design like GM LS engines, where the bolt is the primary keeper of the pulley and prevents the pulley itself from spinning itself off the crankshaft. In that instance, it is very important that you torque the pulley to the required spec, because of its intended function. Ours is not critical to the pulley spinning off. The keyway design is what keeps it in place once it is bolted down, so torque spec is not as critical, though the pulley bolt should be plenty tight to make sure it doesn't back out, because if the bolt backs off and you lose the pulley, you lose your oil pump function as well, so bye bye engine.

It's just two different methods of skinning the same cat.

    I hope that makes sense?

I believe the spec on the bolt was some insane 250 ft lbs. which is honestly not needed, mine is perfectly happy with 150 ft. lbs, and has never caused me any issues whatsoever in the multiple times I have removed and reinstalled it after installing the supercharger.

I agree our NST crank pulley is nice and tight with the key design. The NST SC crank pulley to the crank isn’t near as good though.

Weird looking up torque specs it’s either 217 or 184

Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.
it’s over 200 because I bought a 1/2” torque capable of up to 250 because of it.

Maybe they changed the torque spec from factory after 2010 or so. I just vividly remember it being around 180 during the XRU modding days. One thing I miss about those days was how organized and detailed that site was back then. Made modding so easy ;)

Hey it could always be worse, we could be the 3rd gen section. The amount of functional jackass there is unreal.

200ftlbs for the crank bolt. The first time around you will most likely have to use a breaker bar, pull the ign fuse, and bump the starter to break it free. IF you can get a small badass impact in there... maybe. Even then, my Milwaukee (wouldnt fit) and my air ratchet woudnt do it. Had to resort to the starter method. Going back in now though after its been initially broke free, I can use my air racthet.. at 175psi.. and do a couple ougie dougies

I just did all this a couple months ago.

It's like I said, I'm pretty sure those emails are auto generated to send out after X amount of days after a purchase is made.

I will say, however, the fact you guys have not heard of them is becoming a bit of an annoyance to myself, the very least they could had done is announce on their site or somewhere via email blast or something to announce their extended shop closing for the new year. I'll send an email out to them here in the coming days if not tomorrow and see what the hell is going on.

My ryobi 18v impact wrench broke it free after a couple seconds. Might not be so bad.

Hey fellas, got an update for those in concern about their items which have still not arrived:

    Hi Robert,

Happy new year to you as well! We've been working on getting caught up
from the extra demands of the holiday season.

With regards to the few members who seem to be having issues/confusion
with tow packages, we will work with each member who reaches out to us
via email. We can not provide customer service on the forums, social
media, etc. The extra demands of the holiday season slow things a bit,
but we are working, and will continue to work, to help everyone via
    email.

Thanks again for the continued help and support from your end.

So no solid word on lip or no lip on TRD trucks..... seems to be a case by case basis on whatever the mechanic at the factory blindly pulled from the bin when your truck rolled past him on the assembly line.

Got an email back from NST. They said to send back the Alt pulley, and include a printed copy of the email they sent me with the info provided.
