This is my first toyota, and my first taco.

literally my only negatives are signing up here, and going out with a flashlight at night to check shit...

....and i guess how much ive spent since joining.

Prior to this I have always had Ford. They stopped making a MT, so I had to look elsewhere. So far I love my truck (better than any Ford I ever owned)

My first toyota and first tacoma as well.
Buddy had 1st and 2nd gen and were very reliable so i knew what i was buying. Now he has 2019 and loves it, only thing he doesnt love is the 15-16 mpgs he is getting.

This is my third pick up, had 90 mazda b2200 and 07 mazda b4000. All were great but the taco is the best so far, i love it.

I will agree, running out with a flashlight to check shit at night does get annoying.

Same here! I've been brand loyal to Jeep/FCA my entire life. My past three vehicles were all Wranglers (09,14,18) and after they refused to take the severely loose and unresponsive steering issue on my new 2018 JLU seriously at several dealers and having to have my alternator and battery replaced at 7k miles i just couldn't deal with the poor quality or customer support any longer and finally made the switch to a 2020 tacoma. My Jeeps were in the shop constantly. a week before my battery and alt crapped out i was in the middle of the Valley of the gods camping by myself so that woulda been fun since you cant jump start the new Wrangler with a jumper pack due to the new ESS (engine start stop) and there being two 12v batteries...

1st Taco and Toyota. Have always had domestics even though My Ranger wore a Mazda B3000 badge. She was made in Edison NJ at the Ranger plant.

So far so good, love her except for a silly annoying rattling vibrating sound from the passenger side... it's irking me!

Yes, this is my first Tacoma but my second Toyota. My first Toyota was a 2002 Tundra AC V8. I loved that thing.

Is the rattle from the dash? Mine does that when it's cold for some reason. Sounds like plastic rubbing.

Yeah somewhere in the dash area it's like plastic rubbing or something but happening all the time. Louder than the radio but I don't sit on that side to find out what it actually is. Like a creaking sound
