    Yep, funny my dealer said they dont believe in it lol. I asked the service guy if he was a mechanic, he said no. I had a leaky cap and replaced it, and my fluid was super dirty. Hadnt been ever changed, so I did it. I would call it preventative maintenance.

    And you'll probably spend more on a rebuild than a whole new set of monroes.

    :notsure: I'm not familiar with fluid film first hand. I've had good luck spraying them with Boesheild T9.

    Those bearings are the least of your concern. They're $10 and can be replaced easily at home, but do require you keep up on it. If you let them go too long, you'll ruin you misalignment spacers and lower shock end.

    but FF is literally the TW standard in corrosion prevention!?! i personally had not ever heard of the stuff until TW came along
    i have recently heard of Boeshield T9 developed by Boeing to treat sensitive aircraft components so that is next on the list to seek the most durable product
    the FF i was using to protect some naked metal on my frame until the weather gets proper to primer it wore off, or washed right off, hosing it down after the past weeks 'storm' of maybe 2 inches of snow ... now i have a major flash rust event, just popped up today, and cannot get into the heated DIY garage until Monday to make needed repairs

    I don't live in the rust belt. The frame on my '01 looks like new.

    Therefore, I have no reason to try to rust proof my frame, just trying to protect my couple grand worth of shocks, and boeshield is what I use. Not sure it's the proper thing to use for frame protection.

    I don't think I would want to spray my shocks with that sticky shit either.
