Id run it with 91 or higher. Not recommended to run lower octane unless you are running the 87 tune in the mountains at elevation and only have access to 85.

This was asked before. The first one I found is above

    And Mat said:

    "It will detonate"

    "We do not recommend it"

    Umm.....

    Regarding 2.0.
It is still actively being worked on, and a few things are being changed around.
Also we received information that there …. *may be* another software update regarding this fuel pump recall with trucks that "stall at high speed"... (possibly another ECU reflash).
We also are working on our own replacement fuel pump controller.
We are doing a lot of code changes to the PI and DI system, due to how the fuel pump control works, this will benefit N/A as much as it does boosted scenarios.

Thanks Mat, we like getting these periodic updates when there's still work ahead...thanks for this one.

the drop down menu In the FM shows 1.05, 1.05.1, and some version of 2.0 as options for my vehicle. These are all “base” versions but they are 3 different versions available?

The 2.0 you see in FM is just a placeholder. The only way to get 2.0 is by direct download from OVTune's website.

    Thank you for the info.
Which version is best for my 2019, 1.05 or 1.05.1?

I have a 16 Tacoma and 04B04 ECU but when I download the tunes I can not pick 16 with 04B04, I have to pick 17. Will this be a problem? Should I ask this here or send this to the zendesk or whatever? Thanks for the help

1.05.1 is only intended for vehicles experiencing the "shudder" described at length in this thread. If your truck exhibits this then that version might be for you. If not, just 1.05. Of course, you can also download one of the 2.0 beta tunes as well:

    https://www.ovtuned.com/pages/2-0-public

as long as there's a version for your ECU.

Just got done flashing my truck to the 91 octane 2.0 Beta a little while ago. Overall the process was very easy and not confusing in the least. I did the LV and AT reset after the flash, let it idle for 15 min, and then took it for a quick spin.
First impression is that the transmission is greatly improved over stock (04B61) imo, and I no longer have the clunk when I stop for the first time on each drive. It's completely predictable now, and while I wasn't too sour on the stock programming it really is a big improvement using the 2.0 beta flash. I can't wait to take it for a longer drive and out onto the highway to see how it runs.

Thanks for the help with documentation @PhogDog

DUDE! I'm not sure a guy in a bathrobe should be saying, "Happy flashing!"

Ah, I see you come from a long line of guys in bathrobes. I'll warn my wife before we park our Crickets next too each other. Of course, that just means she'll keep the windows open, watching.
