Enough to make it a lot of fun!
Took the bug for an hour ish drive today. Fired up on the first try after sitting all winter. Have an electrical issue to track down and replace the seals in the trans at some point. But man do I love this car. Who needs a radio when you can just listen to the motor purr during the drive. :plane:

Also bought a steam cleaner today. Hope to have it by Friday. I plan on pulling the front seats out of the truck and giving it a deep clean this weekend. We will see how it goes, and I hope to figure out why my horn stopped work. I am hoping it's not the clock spring. :fingerscrossed:

@Reh5108 has a turbo now, so @Night Eagle wins the Pony Express award now with his 35s and stock gears.

I guess I should admit that the truck isn't exactly a happy camper at the moment with those tires and stock gears. But the new gears are sitting on my living room floor.

Been pretty lazy and just now posting these photos of @Squeaky Penguin and I's trip over the weekend of the 4th.

We had to finish cuting this 25" diameter tree that someone cut for a side by side. We cut what we could at the time because we need to get to some where in Wyoming that night. We will probably head back up at some point this summer to finish clearing that tree.

Saturday we spent most of the day picking somewhat random 2 track roads to make it to rawlins, WY and then up to the sweetwater. We did finally make to the sweetwater around 6 and then booked it down to the river to get some fishing in, and caught my first brown.

    20190706_203724.jpg

    Also caught an awsome sunset.

    20190706_204921.jpg

Sunday involved a kind of slow start to the day but spent about 4 hours on the river. We caught another half dozen fish.

    20190707_103555.jpg

Then we decided we should start heading back to steamboat with a little adventure on the maze of two track near the Oregon Butte. Much of the two track was part of the Oregon trail.

Lots of great progress Leo. I need to repaint my sliders but the rust may be getting a bit deep on the passenger side

That is what I thought on my sliders Andy but took a good bit of time with a grinder and wire wheel and they cleaned up good.

Well the truck now officially is rolling around with 4.88s. With babying the gears I can already feel a tremendous difference in how the truck drives. I have a feeling I will love it on the trail too.

The night prior to this picture was very unpleasant. We ended up reaching this location the day before and it started to rain and rained till about 3AM. It was raining hard enough that there was no way I was going set up my tent, so I ended up sleeping in the driver's seat.

1st annual, but certainly not the last, expo fishing trip. 10 days in WY/MT. Fishing every day. 2k miles. 5 different kinds of trout landed. Many ten minute tenkara (TenTen) fishing competitions. 2 reroutes. 1 blind, shitty beer showdown. No strict schedule. All the fun with good friends. @Night Eagle @Reh5108 and a quick hello from @w.adventures

And that's as much of a trip report as I'll ever do.

Put 4,125 miles on the truck since July 30th. Half of that was moving to Idaho, the other was chasing trout around Wyoming and a bit of wheeling with @Squeaky Penguin and @Night Eagle

I fished almost entirely with a Tenkara rod and found it to be a lot of fun. Fishing on the Green River was the only time I thought a traditional fly rod would have been better.

    More shitbox problems...

I ended up melting the T fitting for the turbo water return line. Not sure why I ordered plastic ones. Fortunately @Squeaky Penguin had an airline T that worked perfectly as a trail repair.

Noticed that I lost another bed mount spacer and that the center crossmember is beginning to crack as well.

Managed to pick up a screw in my rear tire while in the middle of nowhere.

Added some more high clearanceness to my gas tank with the assistance of gravity and a boulder.

Random pictures from the trip. I'm pretty impressed by the Pixel 3's camera.

Oh and 2 out of 3 contestants in a blind taste test say Yuengling sucks compared to the competition. I'm sure Brett will have more on this exquisite test of domestic beers in his thread.

Enough to make it a lot of fun!
Couple updates on the truck. Maintenance on it is getting out of hand. 125k miles and 5 years later and an unknown number of running hours I have had to replace this.
