I wish Toyota brought back the 9.5” for the Taco and offered a solid front axle.

Electric front seats, Ehh... Honestly I could take it or leave it. To me electric front seats are kind of overrated. As for CarPlay and android play and LED headlights, those functions were probably three years overdue!

I have a strong feeling that there will be no changes other than paint color options.

That army green on the TRD pro will probably be available on the TRDOR. Some other weird paint combo options.

I’ve been following Toyota too long.

~250,000 Tacomas were sold in 2019.. more than any year since the 3rd gen was released. It's my opinion that no other truck has the reputation of high resale, low depreciation and reliability of the Tacoma. Consumers will continue to have high confidence purchasing these trucks until/unless the reliability and resale values decline to the level of the competition. The used market inventory for 3rd gens has increased dramatically but when I started looking for a used truck 18 months ago people were asking the same/similar to a new truck. Look historically at the years covered for 4runner, FJ and Tacoma generations.

I do feel Tacoma should offer a Forced Induction engine for this truck. I find it hard to believe they get away with charging TRD Pro prices for a truck that has the exact same drive train offered in the base model.

Wasn't there some industry insider posting here on TW that claimed the Tacoma wasn't getting a major refresh until 2023 or 2024?

I agree about the electric seats but imagine it helps sell these trucks because previously the driver sat in a hole.

I already decided I wanted a Toyota due to the reputation but I wasn't a fan of the seat ergonomics until I added the aftermarket front seat lifters. If I would've been on the fence with other manufacturers I *might* have gone with the other brand due to the large hood and low seat.

Toyota admitted like a year or 2 ago that the Tacoma and Tundra weren't major focus for the company. It was considered a niche market to them.

It will have too as the new tacoma, 4runner, tundra and sequoia will all be on the TGNA-F platform, Tundra is slated for 2022, 4Runner 2023, new Tacoma 2024, 2020 was a MIDCYCLE refresh. I've discussed this and sourced an insider who has confirmed this. The name more than anything is what makes it King, it will remain there despite not keeping up with all the garbage the domestics throw in. Small incremental changes every year is the Toyota MO.

Yep and because they sat and are now playing catch up with the tundra redesign followed by 4runner all sharing the new TGNA-F platform, we wont see the 4th gen till 2023-24.

Toyota number 1 selling vehicle this past year was the RAV4 edging out the Camry for the first time ever.

I don’t get it. The RAV4 is a fine vehicle, but have you seen the the entertainment/info unit? It looks like an afterthought. Like someone decided to slam a 14 inch TV into the middle of the dashboard.

As for new added features on a new Tacoma model, I would like to see a HUD opinion for them (heads up display)
