Added a bunch of stuff. Cut to fit 285 AT3’s
I’m wondering if anyone has mounted an awning on the bed rack yet? I have a feeling the truck side of the awning might be a little low but google isn’t helping me find the answer... I can’t wait for my order to ship so we can get the RTT mounted up before camping season kicks off here in New England

I decided to try and mount my rack yesterday because I have no patience and weather only said 10% chance of rain. Well of course the moment I cut access for roof threads it started to rain. :annoyed::annoyed:
Anyways everything went pretty easy except I didn’t like the fact that load bars 4 & 5 had zero clearance ( maybe even touching) in center of roof. I ended up padding all 4 rear mounts .25”. I am super pleased with UpTop and final result. Pics to follow later today.

NICE! How long did you have to wait from the time you ordered? Heard they're a lil' behind on filling orders. I see you got the scene pods with amber lights. Looks bad ass with the front LED light bar. I went to Baja Designs website and they also sell the same rock lights but with an added on/off switch for only $10 more per light...and the lights come in red as well.

You need T nuts. They look like this.

I’ve thought about drilling a hole large enough for a bolt head to be inserted like other rack brands.

I believe there was shipping info within 3 weeks. That’s pretty good considering that I ordered during a sale and with custom Powdercoat. The BD scene lights are actually clear but the photo is deceiving ,I think it’s because they are mounted on an angle ?

    Just getting started...
Received my invoice at night on Dec 5th (time zone difference), paid on the 6th. Asked what the lead time was at the time and was told two weeks. Cool, no problem. :)

Figuring that was going to fall right in the middle of the holidays, I waited til Jan 3rd when I posted a quick message in here (page 79) asking for an update, said he would check at the shop that night.

Waited til Jan 6th with no reply so I posted a friendly reminder again in this thread (page 82) with a reply Jan 7th (also page 82) saying going out tomorrow Jan 8th.

Received no shipping notice/info yet so I dropped a quick PM yesterday Jan 15th asking for an update, asked for my order number which I supplied, now waiting.

I know it's only two guys, and I'm sure part of it is maybe some backup from the holidays and just me being excited about getting my stuff. :yay: It's just the radio silence I have a minor problem with is all. If they're behind, they're behind. TOTALLY get that stuff comes up and things happen. But be up front and just let us know if things are going a little slower than usual. I'm down with that. My customer service experience was just so excellent right off the bat with these guys, I wanna see that continue on.

    Hey All,

For anyone currently experiencing delays with upTOP I sincerely apologize. Micah and myself work very hard to keep our two week lead time. We were doing a pretty good job even with the volume of orders then we had an entire order of load bars that had to be rejected due to significant powdercoat issues.

@TacoJetMech your order unfortunately got caught up in this fiasco.

We had hundreds of bars show up to the shop yesterday and we will have 25+ racks packed by the end of business today to get to brown santa. We are hellbent on keeping you guys happy, I am taking a half day at my day job in order to take care of upTOP and you guys.

Anyone with a pending order will see their upTOP goodies soon, sorry for the delay and lack of communication on my end, I take full ownership of that. But if I'm being honest, it's your fault...you guys are too good to us and ordered too much

P.S. tell you friends about us, because we love our customers and how much you guys have accepted us

    Thanks,

    Drew

Yes, Tnuts work great...I also have drilled them out for one-off mounts because they are aluminum it's not a problem.
