I just installed an icon stage 1 kit with Camburg UCA’s about 72 hours after I started feeling a shuddering when accelerating lightly. It almost feels like when you’re driving a stick and don’t downshift when RPM’s are too low. It’s that same kind of shudder. Really hoping it’s not the transmission. I’ve tuned the truck with OV tuning which I don’t think would affect it but could be wrong. I didn’t start getting this till after the lift. I measured out the fender to wheel measurement and I have a slight Cali lean the front is .25-.5” higher than rear which personally I kind of like and also think it will settle a bit. Could this be causing the shudder though? Thanks in advance for any help!

Hard to tell, but did you install a ECGS Clamshell Bushing in the Transfer Case Driver Side output to the CV shaft? I needed the bushing to get rid of the needle bearing with only 2 inches of lift from OME-885 springs. Mine was a cyclic hum around 20 to 25 mph.

Oh the fun with lifting a truck!

Yeah...I'd be checking the u-joint angles and/or binding in the carrier bearing.

Yea, I had to add a rear angled shim on the rear to get rid of a vibration on braking.

Ya I’ve had the vibration when braking since it was bone stock. Just realized it was prt of having the truck but nice to know it could be fixed with angled shim. Do y’all think that would fix the vibration on acceleration too?

Absolutely. There is a thread titled "Driveline vibrations solved Step by Step”
Sorry I don’t know how to copy the link and post it. Hope it helps

Is this something 4 wheel parts could do for me? I’m taking to them to do an alignment next week.

TRD PRO Cement 2017 TRD CAI and AFE Magnum Flow Dry Air Filter Camburg KINETIK Series Billet UCA Icon LCA skid plates Icon Coilover extended travel shocks with 700# springs Icon 2" rear shocks Icon RXT leaf springs full pack (new rims and tires soon)
I (kind of) have the same problem, a very faint shudder at start.
I have Icon 700# front (maxed out), Camburg UCA and Icon RXT option 3 on back. Rest of truck is stock, no added weight.
All my angles are adjusted to be the same, but there is another problem. Once you raise the truck, ALL angles are changed at a higher value - (considering all angler are identical) before lift your angles were 7deg. After the lift all angles are 13deg. Now the engine/transmission/transfer case/shaft, work a bit harder to turn and move the truck hence the shudder.
Ideally from the engine to the pinion all angles should be 0deg but not in rear life.
imagine you lift the truck 6", then all should be dropped to lower the angles. Just make sure your angles are matching and live with it.

I don’t know about you but mine feels like something is loose in the back lol. I feel like it’s getting worse too the more I drive. 4WP said they’ve experienced it before in other lifted trucks so when I take it to them next week for alignment hopefully they can figure it out. In the meantime I’ll check the angles

If it only happens under "light" acceleration then the obvious fix is to just floor it!
