I agree, but as many have said, for the prices they are currently charging, these trucks should have more. I mean Honda civics cost almost half and have more tech in them.

This was going to added to the 3G, then Jerry from QA pointed out: “if the light is only off when the glovebox is closed, how do we know it’s actually off?”. That shut down the whole board meeting at HQ, and in the end they decided to scrap it due to no way to verify its function. Thanks a lot Jerry.

My SR has tilt and telescope although the telescope has a pretty short range.

No matter what they add to the 2021 model, some of you pansies will still be complaining, wishing that they added this or that. Never satisfied. No wonder they put a damn car engine in our trucks, being that most of you are probably better suited in a cute little car.

I agree, it will be a new LED taillight assembly. And a new Pro color for 2021.

I saw one of the new Rangers on the road the other day, and it's clearly obvious they borrowed some Tacoma in their design, taillights, taillights, etc. It seems like all the makers are at lunch together collaborating.....

I am in the same boat. The more useless shit (IMHO) they add to these trucks, the less inclined I would buy one. But, they keep adding power this, techno that, sunroofs, storage compartments for custom TRD colored man-purses, on and on.. No thanks!

    Dear Mr. Locker:

We at the 4th Gen Design Team will continue to leave out the lightbulb in the glovebox for several reasons. The reasons all were gleaned from bringing is several third gen owners and retrofitting their glove boxes with lights for one month. We called this "Operation Dim Bulb".

After retrofitting 1,000 test vehicles, we were immediately inundated with overwhelming negative feedback that was, at times, even contradictory to itself. 3rd gen owners with retrofitted glove boxes complained the light was too bright, too dim, it was too hard to change the bulb. They demanded to know if there was a MESO upgrade or retrofit for the bulb. When changing the bulb 42% of owners managed to strip the socket. Several actually managed to drain the auto transmission fluid when attempting to swap out the bulb.

We were also criticized for not offering enough bulb color choices, or a dimmer for the bulb. We were criticized for using bulbs that were too energy efficient and not efficient enough.

Despite a warning sticker placed on the glove box of each retrofitted test truck, owners in a rush to retrofit their bulbs with colors that matched the exterior of the truck often exceeded the wattage and fried the electrical system and then blamed Toyota.

No, there will not be any glovebox bulbs in any Tacoma in the foreseeable future. The demographic would not be able to handle it. The majority of you are stone stupid, whiny blithering idiots.

On a similar note we have decided to restrict you dipshits to four choices on the 4th gen auto transmission - Park, Neutral, Reverse and Drive with a giant permanent sticker on the dash telling you clearly what each one does. The ECT button will eliminated. Our experiment offering you a gear lockout and a tow/hall switch was an abject failure as 78% of third gen owners were completely flummoxed by anything more than 4 choices.

Lastly, we will be doing away with the owners manuals since our research showed that 82% of third gen owners were either too stupid or too lazy to read it.

    Fondly,

    Skip E. Loder
    Chief Designer
    4th Gen Tacoma Design Team
