It would certainly be an experience camping during a 24 hour race, the atmosphere in the infield is always so electric that it’d be hard to even sleep. I’d be too tempted to just sit behind pit row in front of the garages. It was a blast. Getting to walk the track and sign the finish line before the race was a pretty amazing thing to experience, you don’t quite get an understanding at what 31 degrees of track bank feels like until you’re trying to stay upright on it!

My wife and I camped near the Porsche Curves at Le Mans last year. It was a blast. I had the best time. Non stop party back at all camps. You could nap which was good and you still were able to watch the race during the night without feeling too tired. It also got soothing hearing each class of car drive by while you rested.

If you ever get a chance to go to the Rolex 24 hours at Daytona then definitely accept the tickets, even if you are not camping it. I've been going to the race for over 25 years and camping for over 20 of those years and it gets better every time.

I do not fly down to go to the roar weekend but I am always there as one of the first RVs to pull in with our group of friends. We camp the NASCAR turn one spots right next to the tunnel where the cars are going up onto the banking.

I made a thread for this year's race, so feel free to come on over.

I would have never gone to 2019’s Rolex 24 if I didn’t win the tickets from a local radio call in, but I’m so glad I got the chance!
I’ve never been a fan of NASCAR racing, but the formula circuit is so much more interesting to me, when I heard they were giving away tickets I tried and won them the day before the race! Never really followed it but I find myself wanting to go to this years 24. Who knows, I just may! If I do, I’ll post up in here and maybe we can meet up!

too bad the site won’t seem to let me upload a video I took after the last race of the evening with all of the cars rolling by me as I walked the garages.

I grew up in Daytona and going to the races is what we did. Like you said, it is always more interesting than the NASCAR races, Im a sportscar racing fan. If nothing the access that you get as a fan is amazing, 1 ticket gets you access to the entire race facility. It isnt just like that at Daytona though. The entire IMSA season is like that. Every track you can walk everywhere with any ticket.

Alonso all but rules out a Ferrari return for 2021 , which means he'll probably end up there
