Girl at my work sent me an instant message saying she has misophonia and my tapping was bothering her...send help.

Definitely! Yet she can happily use her clicky whiteout without issue. Drives me nuts. Guess I have it too!

 

I never thought I would get the opportunity to WFH, until I presented to my manager why I should be able to.... and she approved it the next day! I couldn't believe it honestly, so you never know man!

 

I currently WFH at least 1 day a week; soon it'll be 100%.

 

Unfortunately they're old school and don't trust anyone working from home unless you're upper management. Who's hiring?

What kinda position you looking for? And I mean that in a non sexual way, believe it or not.

 

HA! Project Coordinator or something along those lines. Honestly open to other things as well.

 

i'm trying to get to that too, 100%. currently most of my team does it at least once a week though only two of them "officially" have it (asked and approved). The rest of us are just following the nice precedence they set. Even if I can't wfh 100% of the time, id love at least one or two days per week. I could get 2-5 hours of my life back per week avoiding the commute.

 

Fuck yes! I love it... makes me incredibly appreciative of my employer for giving me the opportunity. Hope it’s sooner than later for you to be 100%.

That sucks. I’ll keep an eye out at my work in case something pops up in the project coordination space.

 

No commute was probably the biggest plus of being able to WFH full-time. Like you said, the extra couple hours a week spent commuting really adds up. I still go in to the office for important meetings and such, but I don’t mind that at all. Staying connected with folks and seeing people periodically definitely helps keep my creative juices flowing.

 

My current job with the AF could be a 50% WFH... but they won't allow it. Why give me a laptop if I can't use it at home!?!

My first job out of the military I hope to find something with some flexible locations.

 

One crappy thing thing about my line of work is wfh is impossible

 

No WFH for me anytime soon. Lady friend works 4 10s Monday-Thursday.

I can't even swing that schedule, I'm M-F with no acceptions

 

I have to go back to odd hours in the next few months. Going to really screw up the woman and my schedules for the kids. FINALLY found a full-time daycare/preschool for the little before she heads back to work (hopefully Tuesday).

I would love 4-10s though. Or even a 9-9's with every other weekend a 3 day.

 

I say 100%, but they'll probably want me to travel back 3-4 times per year... They would pay for flight/hotel, but I'll probably drive and camp most times!

 

Do they need another hire? I'll gladly do this..
