probably going to start building my own bumper monday

here is the shackle mount i think all the welds came out looking great, the grinding i feel like would have been better if i would have ground untill i thought it was perfect then painted with gloss black and ground out the imprefections.

you can see a little welding splatter i missed.

 

Looks great! I want to see it on the truck.

 

Here is the light bessel (not sure that i used that word correctly) It was aluminized steel, i didn't know that welding splatter is impossible to get off aluminized steel so i have welding splatter in the light holes here is a pic, its not that bad.

 

I want to see it in action!!! Winch and all! Looks good!

 

here u can see a few little grinding errors and the 2 little pit holes on the top, i know i am really being picky about this and i think that overall it looks amazing and will look flawless from even 5 feet but when you really look at it it's not perfect.

Ill be getting it installed tomorrow and will take a lot of pictures, my little brother is coming back in town from college and will be able to give me a hand moving it from the sawhorses to the truck. Im going to take before and after measurement of the front end ride hight with the stock suspension then with the 5100's and eibach springs.

I know this is a complete side question but can i break the front end of my truck with the 33 inch BFG AT. i have been wheeling hard and have been getting a little worried, in my old truck i had to replace 8 half shafts in 2 years from hard wheeling (they had a lifetime warrenty i could do it in about 45min by the time i sold it)

yeah i would say that 1/2 the build time is into paint prep, including grinding, rewelding to even welds, sandblasting, and then bare steel dipping, e-coating, and powdercoating.

 

I really do want to put something together... In your Engineering Degree do you have a project? I do the work, you get the credit!

just installed it, i got to put the rest of the bolts on, btw its already pulled the front end down from sitting on there for like 10 min. pictures in a few hours.
