    howdy!

just bought a 2019 2.7 4WD SR back in October and i'm currently riding on the stock Firestone Destination LE 2 245/75/16…which i absolutely despise. they look like donuts, and i feel them slip when it rains.

...i want a little more height and a more aggressive looking tire. mostly just looking for that great profile these trucks have, and that i fell in love with, and won't kill my mpg. need to fill up some of that wheel well space, bruhs.

my new truck reminds me of a station wagon after i had the topper put on (pics below of my new station wagon) 90% of my driving will be city/highway. and like everyone else...when i need the performance i want it to be there. nothing too serious…dirt roads, muddy roads…out in the woods of Mississippi, and driving through the monsoonal rains of Memphis.

how do i get that sweet look but maintain the gas milage and handling?

don’t really care about road noise. just want a descent ride around town, up and down the highway, and when i head out for summer roadtrips.

i’d also like to be a little higher off the ground, and if the tires could give an inch i’d take it.

i’ve read too damn much on here about tires, sizes, plys, load ranges, regearing, power loss, etc., that i’m now absolutely braindead and more confused than i was before i started researching this. i know this question has been asked a lot, but i need a reset. i need some intelligent and experienced minds to weigh in.

but in the end, these tires have to go.

all input will be gladly appreciated.

    thanks.

Go with a 265/75/16 falken at3w. They won’t break the bank or kill your MPGs.

Any more aggressive tire will kill mpg.
You cant have it both ways.

    I hated the donuts too.

You may want to try 265/75/16 Nitto Ridge Grapplers.

I have an SR 4x4 as well. I've been waiting for my stock hankooks to wear out and been doing a lot of research in the meantime. I've landed on the cooper discoverer at3 4s. I like the falken wildpeaks too but they're just too aggressive for me. I also like that cooper is a US company making tires in the US.
