I was just outside and it looks like it might be starting to slow down a bit. Roads are slushy but not too bad; I-95 should be pretty clean.

Grew up in Maine, I know the cold. I hated the cold, moved to RI. That actually did at least take the "bite" out of the winter cold, it rarely goes below 30-35 down here. Went to Austin for a week over new years, middle of the winter able to walk around in jeans and a t shirt, and that was their "brisk" weather.... We love the heat, hate the cold, so I think I have to be a traitor and run away :( SC is at least do-able for a drive back to New England, Austin would be something like 30 hr just drive time. SC is about 14 hours. Not "nothing" for a drive, but better. And cheaper, smaller city, etc. Probably going to take a trip to check it out this year. Can get re-lo with my company, we have a plant in Charleston too!

Okay... anyone here do paint/body work? I need the tank for my Dyna repainted(and 2 small dings). Hopefully the fairing too.
My painter flaked... every damn winter someone flakes. Getting pissed....

Stuff to start reassembling will be arriving next week... then break-in/dyno time....

Spent xmas back home in Corpus(2 hours southeast of San Antonio). Was wonderful not being cold.

Drove down and back. 30 hours is about right, these days, I stop and rest, instead of driving straight through.

Though, kinda looking in the Hampton Roads, VA area... stationed there a few years, winter exists, but, is short, and mild...

Yeah, RI is nicer than Maine at least but the lack of sunlight and I think we'd prefer to go a bit further. I think a bit south of the Mason Dixon line at the least, and Florida is a maybe. There's a big American airlines repair center there, that's what I do now (smaller scale though) so it would be an easy transition.

Anyone in NH do any kayak fishing? Really wanting to get into it and get out on the water more...a kayak would definitely help that.

Haven't in a while, used to live on a lake. I never had a "fishing" kayak, just went fishing off a normal bathtub. Definitely recommend kayaks if it's just you. I now like the sit on top style rather than the bathtubs.

@m603holden is definitely your local go to guy for this. If you’re in the Hudson Valley NY area, I’ll be happy to have you join me in some nice hot spots.

I haven’t fished in over 20 years until I started getting into it last year. I bought my first “kayak”, and started fishing a bunch of local NY kayak bass tourneys in 2019. I met a great group of local anglers in the process. I hope to do much better in 2020.

And yeah. I REALLY got into it! Lolololol
