Setting for "subscribing"?

    I cant seem to find it. Every post I respond on my email is getting bombarded with every post that someone responds to.
    Is there a way to comment in a post without being subbed to it?
    A setting somewhere? And I can sub to it if I want? but not automatically.

    you can click it when posting a reply (under advanced screen)...but I usually post a quick reply and I forget about it...There is a setting to subscribe, and how to notify you or not notify you...Just wish I didnt have to do it every time

    Isn't that what being subscribed is supposed to do? so that you get a notification when someone posts to a thread your interested in?

    it just keeps the threads im subscribed to in my user cp...so i can quickly access the ones i post in

    this is especially helpful when i post something inflammatory and then go to work for 12 hours
