Sorry possible stupid question. I have a 2017 trd sport and looking to get new wheels. I want flush fitment with the wheels and just a lil bit of rubber poking out, barely the side wall. This is my first truck before I had a stage 3 VW GTI so I like my fitment on point but dont know much about what works on the Tacomas. What size wheels and tires would I need?

It's about offset. A wheel with 0 offset or just a tad of negative should get you there if I recall correctly. My spidertrax (1.25" on oem wheels nets slightly positive offset) give just a tad of poke. Check my pics. This changes if you have a wider or narrower rim than oem

Yea Ive seen that spacer size looking good but what offset would give the same appearance as that?

Oops I had my positives and negatives switched: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/wheel-specs.30754/

So oem wheel is +25 and spidertrax push the wheel out (negative ~30mm) to about -5. That is my example with TRD off road oem wheel.

You can use this to experiment:

An 8.5” wheel with 0 offset sits perfect.

Welcome to TW! If you like the way you factory wheels look just match that offset. That info is probably in your owner's manual.

Stock wheels are not flush, a 1.25 spacer would make them flush but Im trying to figure out what offset for something like a 17x8 would be flush.
