Got rear ended by a school bus today

hell yeah... you know how many $'s are pissed away by school systems? alot.

i'd treat it like a tax refund.

 

That's not a crash bar. It's a swing out gate that prevents kids from crossing to close in front of the bus.

Not a great experience. I was rear ended by a gravel truck at a stop light yesterday. The intersection was glare ice as is normal for Winnipeg roads at this time of year.

Felt like a slight bump but it took out the tailgate, the right taillight and the bumper. May be damage to the box and hitch receiver as well. Getting appraisal on Monday. No injuries, everyone got checked out.





The no fault govt insurance makes it a less painful process to get this stuff repaired. As it turns out, the tech who will be doing the work owns several Toyota vehicles and his DD is a Tacoma.

 

I was rear ended in a snow storm heading from CO to CA through UT right after Thankgiving 2019. Guy slid into me while we were in stop and go traffic in the middle of no where. Anyways, had an appraisal done and it was over $1k to replace the bumper and part of the tow assembly. Crazy how expensive things can be. No way was he going more than a couple miles per hour.

 

Yep. The folks who always say sue them are the same ones that play lotto thinking it get them ahead in life.

 

Accidents happen. The only legal action you should take in this case is against Toyota for making such a weak ass bumper. That bus just owned the Tacoma for such a minor collision.
