Short bed looks better and is easier to manage around town. That being said if I could do it all over I would have liked to have a long bed.

Not sure if this applies, I’m in Canada and OR Longbed isn’t available but my Longbed Sport was about $2500 less than the OR Shortbeds that we’re on the lot. And was the same price as an Access Cab OR they had.

Based on this right here I would say LB. I have an SB and it works great for my needs for offroading and camping with friends, but for you I would say that extra bed length would do you well

always thought it was the opposite. I park next to a DCLB every day and to me it looks a little funky, at least in stock form

Since you currently have a short bed just think about all the times you wish you had just a bit more room. If you can't think of any get the short bed, if you can think of a bunch get the long bed. Personally I went with the long bed because I ran into issues with my old short bed too many times. Also I use it for group overlanding trips so I need the extra space for gear.

Short bed is like a Chevy equinox. LB is like a chevy tahoe. One is a real truck, the smaller one, good for trips to sprouts or whole foods.

No one ever said "wish I got the short bed instead."

Ya.....but long beds get stuck in parking lots and are absolutely impossible to park....you know that extra foot makes all potential spots useless.

Well I could only hope people take the time to make an informed decision to begin to avoid regretting it later.
    Dislike them both, so..:D
Makes the Costco trips just fine:)

Can't do this in a short bed. This is what a costco trip looks like in a LB.

Short bed for me. I live by populated beach towns and parallel parking is a must. A few extra inches helps get in those tight spaces, giggity. Plus, nobody will ever ask me to help them move something.

Sales of the SB vs the LB would suggest that you’re the one with a twisted perspective :D

Toyota made way way more short beds than long beds. Short beds are cheaper. Cheap people settle for less.

Dear lord. How many people needed help moving furniture? I'm almost impressed, but that chair on the side could have been placed better.
