Love mine, honestly find this auto no different than the 07. Hope she lasts. I’m happy.

I absolutely love it and it is only getting better with age. I had a bit of worry after buying and reading threads on here. It was the height of the 3rd Gen woes. A couple small mods and a TSB later, I am totally content.

With OVT, I honestly think that the 3.5l is on par with the 4.0l for low end torque. Just some bad software from Toyota. Up top, no comparison. When looking at used 2nd Gens, I was surprised how winded it was up top.

I only had a couple minor issues that I fixed easily at home. It wasn't worth the wait at the dealer for warranty.

I fully expect to have this thing for at least the next 15yrs.

Yep, just priced them both on the Toyota.ca website, both A/T to be "fair". I was shocked.

Yeah the auto bashing on here has been taken to a whole new level.
I’m with you, if can get 15 of 20 out of this thing I will be very very happy.

I test drove a few Tundra’s and they were like $2000 more than my Taco. I friggen loved them but I really don’t need that much truck. I love the old mini trucks, started in an S10

Gas mileage is also not the best. Like 40% more.

The only thing that i can think of to make my truck super perfect, would be 6ft bed.

60k and use it off road. Wheeling to 200 mile back country trips. Love it. Best of my three Tacomas I've owned. 2006-2011-2017.
    Mt-at-mt.

If all trucks were brand new in mint condition, I'd still take the 2017

Midsize to full size prices aren't all that different anymore. The real issue is all small trucks are well over $30k, which is nuts.

I'm sure the 2020 guys love hearing I paid $31.7 for my 17 offroad haha

With stock wheels and tires they do yes, once you install slightly bigger tire and neg offset wheels i think it looks good.

Maybe. It also might look better as an access cab, which is pretty rare to see around here in a 3G.

Was $42 in NH. Almost did, but knew I'd be ripping the suspension apart and it wouldn't work for me.
