All the ice melted here. Which is nice. It got just warm enough for just barely long enough for it to melt and dry up.

 

It’s currently 8 here and the sun is shining. -7 windchill

 

It’s been below zero most of the day here.

4-8” of snow and 20-30 mph winds. Then it’ll be cold for a few days and then more snow

 

Ice down here. Sleet, rain, Freezing rain, and back and forth. So far.

 

waiting for the storm in Kansas to move further northeast, intensify and change to winter mix on top of snow

 

Snowing pretty hard here right now. About an inch and a half in the ground already.

 

Been snowing here for a couple hours now. Bit of accumulation. From what I’ve seen, Des Moines is getting pummeled

 

We are in line to get all that. Still snowing hard here. Just shoveled as to not have to rough a time tomorrow. Probably shovel at least once or twice more tonight. Looking at 5” or so then some ice and then a little more snow. At least that’s what it looks like for now. I am hoping it stays cold and we just get the snow.

Good news is, I am off work Monday. Lol

 

Just lost power

nope. All electric lol

 

happened to me too a few years ago when the neighbors tree branch had too much snow on snapped and just fell over the fence and ripped the power line right out of the side
had a miserably cold couple of days until the utility co. could make their way out to put a temporary hookup

ended up running an extension cord or two from the neighbors outside power into the house and some small space heaters in the kitchen and bathroom to hang out in lol

 

I’ve got space heaters and a generator if it comes to that. It’s a rental house so I don’t have a direct plug for the generator but if it’s gonna be days I’m sure I could get one

 

Power is back. Discovered the main breaker to the house tripped. Never had that happen before.

Pictures were a big fail was red recreate something I did with the GX last year but there was someone there so I couldn’t take my time.

This one turned out neat, but I still don’t like it that much.
