Dammit, I figured and kinda knew but had to ask, just in case. What if one stayed on 31s and no lift? How much more after the suspension?

Even with all the right parts, extended arms and such. The only way for a truck like that to stay reliable is for the person maintaining it to be reliable.

Suspension is tough and expensive. And even then you'll fight the frame and the basic construction of the truck to make it reliable. It was meant to be a reliable Everyman vehicle. Not a desert Hoon monster. To make it the latter a good bit of restructuring is necessary.

There's that one thread on here where some of the harder wheeling 1st gen guys show the stress cracks they're finding on things like the coil buckets, LCA arms, radiator supports, etc...all that stuff has to get reinforced or repaired when you start hucking your truck through go fast terrain

Yeah dammit, prolly not the best platform to go that route. Obviously you can, but like you say.... Yeah oh well it's cool. I'll just keep loving it for my daily work truck

Yeah after Monte, mike, and Brett started cracking apart that thread was necessary. Bretts was so bad he made his own tube structure core support. Mike's coil bucket top broke off the frame.. and y'all know what shit Monte gets up to

It's the way I'm going, its a great platform for it. But a platform is just that, it doesn't make or break the work you have to do still

Not at my resort, it was at Alpine on the other side of the lake. It killed 1 and sent another to the hospital.

Nah, LCA's are solid. The frame? Not so much.

Luke Bryan. It would make me want to kill myself a bit sooner. Less suffering.

I feel like I'd probably get put on some list if I put that in an essay.

It's a big part of why I stick to the 4lo and slow kind of wheeling...it still involves a lot of stress and added maintenance on components/parts but not as quickly or assuredly as the go fast guys usually run into.
