What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Got the wrong size retaining rings to hold the old inner section of the boot inside the new boot (boot slide mod) so we'll have to get new rings tomorrow. But aside from that, everything is done, cleaned and mostly back together.

 

Hey folks I just had jap crate motor installed and super charger rebuilt and put 3k mi. On it super charger had noise shipped back to john bond performance they sent me pics of oil blow by their oil is tinted blue just for instances like this you can see motor oil and build upafter 3k mi. Any ideas? I will send Pics

 

The super charger was rebuilt spotless clean 3,000 miles ago!

 

could just be a bad PVC valve.

throw a new PCV valve on and get a catch can.. should keep it clean.

This morning I installed my new intake from GI Tuning. Factory tube was cracked. This one is 3" stainless and came with colormatched hoses

 

Thanks Taco critter! Ive only driven it to the gas station and back home this morning but can already tell a difference in how it accelerates

 

Got the trans back in, wasn’t all that bad. Spent about 10 minutes dicking around before it mated up close enough to start the bolts. Threw in the towel once I couldn’t get the last driver side rear plate bolt in. Spent more time trying to get that in than anything else with the whole project.

So all that’s left is: rear plate, front DS, interior bits, new shifter bushings and oil. But got to wait until oil gets here tomorrow
