You slept whenever you were able to catch some ZzZzZ's; that's me on the left and my buddy Chad on the right.

He's the only dude from OK that I thought was "ok"; he had a hot sister and we always messed with him about it saying "fuck, sucks he already called dibs on her"

we had the same kind of joke going on with a kid i worked with.. his sister was hot. they were from Alabama.. the ongoing joke was he had dibs on her... he didnt like that one lol

 

We always talked about Oklahoma being on the same level as say, Alabama lol I should seriously reach out to some of these guys via social media or something.

 

my uncle apparently saw some crazy shit. hes actually only one of 3 of his little group that survived his tour. if i remember right an IED took out a chunk of his guys while my uncle was in walter reed in a coma..

were actually grateful he got poisoned. hes still with us, thank god

Got hit with a 7.62 and the sapi plate took it like a champ; I was still bruised as fuck as it hurt

 

That was in 2006 during OIF 3; in OIF 2 we had the vinyl doors and laid out the old flak jacket Kevlar lining on the floor of our trucks.

 

i'll take a bruise over a hole any day! I hope i never have to use it. but i was gifted some body armor after working on someones car for them.

 

I wear my body armor and Kevlar for shoot houses though it's been a few years since I've done any courses.

Night shoots are about the last thing I did, and @what road is all over my night vision

 

some people are lucky, thats for sure.
my uncles pretty fucked up for life. but luckily he can live a normal life.. just with a ton of meds.

 

i have a thermal scope. no night vision yet.

 

Sometimes you're lucky that the enemy is an idiot and dug their IED too far down to really do much damage -

 

@Kwikvette should i kevlar line my tundras doors for sound deadening... ya know.. just because dual purpose? lol i do have to go through gary sometimes.

 

I'd only do that if you need to go to Chi-Town at all, otherwise don't bother.

It'll only be good for pistol calibers; FMJ .223 will cut through Kevlar.

 

gangstas in gary only use them 9mm glocks man. you know that
