Here is my rock slider project for my 4x4 2017 TRD sport access cab:

The hardest part of this project is bending the pipe. Not so much bending it as getting both sides equally the same size. My friend has a pipe bender and he helped me with that part and I welded it all together and then propped it up on blocks and welded it directly to the frame, while making sure to protect any wiring, fuel or brake lines from the heat of welding. For welding near the gas tank I stuffed a welding blanket between the frame and the tank.

I really like these, but they don’t seem to be available any more.

C4 Fab rock sliders with step plates and TRD cut out. I love the angle, low profile, and the way the step makes a flat surface to step on with out slipping. Only complaint is that they could be longer and get closer to the wheel well for added protection.

Curious what you guys think of these too. Are they just aesthetic if they’re this low profile?

Looks like this thread just dropped off the map in January...unless I'm missing something? Those TJM sliders look pretty nice. I wonder if anyone else here has or is using them? They remind me a lot of the factory sliders on the FJC. I beat the tar out of mine and they held up great. Sometimes the factory stuff just works. The only drawback (just for me) is that they're a bit "too" close t the body. For my Taco, the wife wouldn't be able to use it as a step I don't think. It's barely a shoe's width away from the sill...not much help. I like 'em though.

For the love of everything that is holy... does anyone know who sells bolt on sliders for a 3rd gen AC 4x4 4cyl? I've called at least a dozen places, and no one has them. Only AllPro offered to have their guys see if they can get that going, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

Lot of different vendors make sliders for ACs. Most sliders that fit a DCSB should fit an AC. As far as being “in stock” - yea that will be harder, if not impossible, to find right now. The lead time for my BAMF sliders was 14-16 weeks.

RCI Metalworks tends to have some of the shortest lead times. I just checked their site and they are indicating a 4-8weeks for sliders. That isn’t too bad when compared to other popular brands.

The crossmember in 4cyl is in a different spot.
