We had no body or frame damage. Success!

    Pinstripes happen.

And following me is probably a bad idea.

Haha yes. I was more so just saying if you have too much loose firewood and slam on the brakes, you might get a log through the back window haha

    Good stuff.

If like to leave the b52 earlier. Which means camping closer and or an earlier start to the drive.

I'd also like to camp an hour's drive South of where we did last year, but the sites are first-come...

Anyone in the "fast" group with me, be ready to help everyone else make camp as they will be over an hour behind us getting to camp. That means fire going, kitchen and bar set up, etc.

    Milly.

We'll try to camp by water, although we never found the stream at the second site. First night will be on a lake.

So I take it we are going to the Telos checkpoint for checking in?

FYI I suggest if folks can make it, Lily Bay State Park for camping. The most affordable and you're 10 minuets from B52 site

Oof, good point I actually need to get a rack. For that reason, too, is for firewood not crashing through :) Might not have one in time.

I'll be lightweight but not experienced in 4x4, but I know trails a bit. Either way, happy to help - I'm going to be cab camping so my setup will take all of 3 seconds.

Not critical, just curious. Trucks going to need to be cleaned after this trip one way or another.

I'm debating going into the NMW early this year as I have the week before off.. if anyone has the time/$$ to do so as well they are welcome to join.. ill head out and meetup at B-52 site, maybe do some scouting of campsites.

are we planning on round pond as site #1 again? if so either Telos, or Caribou checkpoints work... telos will probably be a bit faster, and less chance of pinstriping as they are main roads...

Once we get closer I'm either in/out for a day ahead. I'm probably going to try to get up to OOB wednesday night after work, have Thursday in OOB, head up to NMW on Friday sounds like the plan?

I'd like to hit the other site we wanted, I'll look it up tomorrow, but round pond is the most likely spot.

If you want to get site at lily bay, you may need to reserve in the next few weeks. Typically I think it’s February when we would reserve our site, they do have some non reservable sites, but good luck getting one.

I’ll be can leave Saco/OOB Friday after 3.
