What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Hey @Casper66 i think I passed you on Rt. 3 in Wilderness a bit ago, I was in an older tan Rover, buddy behind me in green FJ Cruiser

 

Purchased some heavy duty velcro straps that has a mounting holes perfect for bolting into the track system in the bed. Holds my tow strap great!

Also replaced my mini shovel.

And moved some stuff around in my bed

I need to clean my bed I know lol

 

Really nice! I have blacked out all the silver trim a long time back, forgot what it looked like....how do you like the new equip? Im doing something also, just haven't figured out what yet?

 

I want to do something similar as to what Bdiddy did too. I'm pretty freakin illiterate when it comes to computers so it's gonna be a long confusing road ahead for me. Lol. I don't want a stereo in the glove box though, just a tablet in the dash.

 

Deposited my $40 check from shell today. After rebate paid $7 per 5qt jug of synthetic 5-30 rotella truck oil. Picked up the max 4 jugs.

 

Cleaned off some of the road salt, applied fluid film in a couple of spots and did a little detailing as the snow starts.

 

I’m loving it so far. Better sound than stock even with stock speakers still. Being an 08’ it had no aux input either so now having access to usb drives/aux, Netflix/Hulu/Amazon Video etc for the kids, Torque, GPS and all those other goodies it is a huge upgrade.

Had I got a new HU with rear USB/aux and it being a shallow mount I could’ve just installed it behind the tablet. I was going for extreme budget though. Going without a HU to run sound through would’ve required more fiddling with tablet/apps and more cables that I didn’t care to purchase/research. That and you gotta find a way to retain AM/FM with just a tablet install which I didn’t want to do since we go to the drive in movies almost every year so having that radio function is important, if only ever so slightly

 

How is that universal roof rack holding up? I’ve been thinking about a similar setup for my 13’ kayak.

 

Did you replace the electr. pump ?

Thanks, I actually said something to somebody the other day on here about changing the wheel color. i got like 3 NO's immediately. I didn't think anybody really noticed

Installed LT265/70R17 C BFG KO2s on 17x7 TRD PRO (4Runner). I also removed the badging and plan on replacing with matte black emblems.
