I will be dropping off some of the refunds this morning. If I have not responded to you or sent you a message, please send me your additional payment. I still have a handful of you that have not sent your additional payment after all of the announcements that have been made. I also have updated the payment post on the first page of this thread to hopefully clear up any confusion. It list all of your payment options you have now. I have even adjusted for the differences in convenience fees just like I allotted for with eBay. Again, when I talk about refunds, I’m talking about Black Friday. However, if you are someone that has purchased the HUD prior, you still are someone that needs to do the additional payment. After this, from this moment on, this will not have to take place again. Thank goodness.

Is ODB port still usable for other things when this is installed? Is this put inline with the factory port?

 

I believe you can use something like this. I’m gonna use this probably as well when I install the HUD as I already have the Shiftsense Pro plugged in there.

I believe you’ll still have access to the OBD port after install. I think this goes inline, leaving an available port. I honestly don’t know if it’s the original, or new harness that provides an open port at that point though.

 

I believe it was mentioned that it'd be inline and offer a new port since it'll use the factory port.

Yes. You will still be able to use the OBD. The PNP Harness will come 1 of 2 ways and I'm not sure yet which route we are going to take. That will be the last thing we decide We will either do the Splitter or the Built in PNP Harness.

Anyhow, you will be able to use the OBD for other accessories that you may have on your truck.

 

FWIW, my preference would be to retain the current OBD port if possible, I run a kiwi3.
