Now a spy photographer has captured images of the first real Bronco tester wearing its production bodywork. It might be under heavy camouflage, but it still looks to confirm a key rumor about the truck: the removable doors and roof.

This is not true. At least until, recently At least half of Tacoma’s were being produced at San Antonio. 2018 Tundras which are all made at San Antonio sold 118k units. Tacoma’s being produced jointly at San Antonio and TJ plants sold around 250K units. At least 132K Tacoma’s were produced at either San Antonio or TJ, and not the vast majority in Mexico like you say.

They’re taking work away and replacing it with PT work by comparison. Not sure how Toyota is going to produce and sell 200k+ Tundras and some sequoias to replace Tacoma at San Antonio.

 

From what I have read, the TX plant produced:

All PRO Tacomas
All Access cab Tacomas
All manual transmission Tacomas
All the Tacomas sold in Canada

Granted individually these aren't big numbers, but added together with the double cab models, the TX plant did produce a fair share of total Tacomas built.

Good idea. You could also become a 4Runner.org mod, and troll them while being a Tacoma owner. That’s seems pretty standard.
