    You can connect it to the battery, but you need to make sure you have a properly sized (and placed) in-line fuse. And you'll still have to run wires to a switch on your dash.

    The reason you don't want to simply tuck wires in behind a fuse in the fuse box is 1) You will spread the contacts for the fuse out causing poor contact, and 2) You risk having one or more loose strands of copper bridge the contacts - making the fuse useless.

    Are you sure we cant ship anything to you? I know I have a few Add-a-Fuses in my electrical stash and I could mail you one.

    Nah, I'm good. I will connect it to my battery better less complications and the red wire already have a in line fuse built in.

    Here in the US they’re also carried at most local auto parts stores. You might check with whatever parts place you have there.

    Hey guys, I have my fog lights wired up today, straight to the battery but the thing is that the light on the switch stays on all the time even when the key is not in the ignition. Is it bad for battery or something or totally fine?

    Yes it will drain the battery.. the illumination for the switch needs to be on switched power. Or use a different type switch.

    Well, yes, and no. 1 LED? It'll be fine if you don't leave it parked for more than 1 or 2 weeks. I have anytime power windows so the 1 LED in the drivers side PW switch stays on all the time. I also have a USB charging port with an LED, wired to constant. The only time the battery went dead was when it was parked for about a month.

    Ideal? No. Will it be OK? Sorta.

    And I didn't know how to make a hole in the firewall, so I just use a screwdriver and open the boot to feed the wire in

    I just pinch it open and push it in and it might have a little gap but will water go in? Or I will put some silicone glue, hahaha
