I just spoke to Conner on the phone. He's doing OK. He's going to camp there for the night, and work on getting out of there tomorrow. (Sunday) His internet is iffy, but he can make and receive phone calls and texts. His coordinates are

    35.05137
    -82.91887

Looks to be about a 2 hour 15 minute drive for me. I cannot make it out there tonight so I will keep tabs and see how tomorrow is.

When I spoke to him on the phone, he thinks his rear diff is busted and possibly the transfercase. He only has front wheel drive.

Got it. I saw he dropped his number but I wanted to put the problem out there so anyone could offer help if we knew what the issue was.

Depending on where he is in that area, there are some pretty steep spots that you’ll need 4x4 for.

Looks like he's right at the gate at nc/sc border (auger hole rd) whereabouts that huge ass sloppy mud hole is.

He's going to need to be drug back down towards the iron bridge at the camp spot. And have to be towed back up the big hill at Turkey pen gap.

The gates closed at Musterground in the parking lot and also the fence is closed at the guard shack to get out onto 130?

But if we can get him turned around at the Iron Bridge, he could help some if he only has front wheel drive.
