From the pic that he posted, he's a looooong way back down the hill to the bridge. Ad that's the worse part of cmr.

    We’re not past the
Were not passed any of that. The gates to muster grounds are closed, so we never made it there.

We came down chestnut road into the Gamelands to find a camping spot. All roads are in good shape except this one spot. It looks like we have two guys coming tomorrow but the more help we can get the better

So you didn't even make it down the steep hill at Turkey pen or the camp area at the iron bridge that crosses horsepasture? River.

I'd come help you out bruh but I'm like 500 miles away. I'll check the coordinates to see where exactly you are. Good luck tomorrow.

From the coordinates he almost had to have crossed into the game lands past TPG and down auger hole by way of the bridge. If he didn't, I want to know how he got there!

I doubt I will be any help tomorrow, but if things change, I certainly will!

He's stuck at that mud hole. How do you get there?

CMR to Turkey Pen Gap, hard switchback onto Auger Hole, cross the bridge at the river, go up into the game land a few miles. There a couple of hazards and a big mud slick, then the last gate at the NC/C border is where it looks like he is at. That gate was open due to a landslide recently.

He's not at the mud hole.
I've located his position per the data from my MGR to CMR via Auger hole with the gps data i collected from that run.

He's south of the main trail on a spur near the NC/SC border. It was obviously a spur on the left (south) side of the road waaay before the iron bridge.

How to get here: leave Gorges through chestnut mountain road. Go into Gamelands. Make a left at the fork. Make another left. Tomorrow we can hike up and then meet you before it gets to the mess

Right. I went Google Mapping the coordinates, and I think I know which offshoot he took.

Posted in the CMR and MGR threads, too. Some of those guys know the area pretty good, too. I'm really not sure how he got over there.

He's on the offshoot (before the gate that leads down to the lake) that dead ends at the power lines. Looks like he's stuck right where that offshoot get's rutty. Shouldn't be too hard to reach him. I might be able to help, but I won't know until tomorrow morning.
