2009, but it's out of West Virginia (no rust). It snapped on the lower hinge support bracket, apparently common.

    Just bought an Airaid CAI.
I know I know, we technically already have a CAI but I was just browsing around and found this "price mistake?" on this full boxed Airaid model in just the color I like (blue) so I jumped on it.
Amazon has it priced for $236.xx when everyone else has it for $391.xx.
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GKLGZES/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Figured I'd try it out and if I don't like it Amazon has a great return policy o_O

Anyone have any thoughts on this brand?

Ordered the Vehicle OCD console and glovebox organizer set, and a sway bar relocation kit.

Getting to start all over :)
This is more specific to k&n and motorcycles but very similar if you buy an oil based or cheap dry CAI. Only thing this will do will make your engine louder. No real gains. Be weary, I only trust the stock stuff. Cause it's just easier and cheaper.

What's the purpose of relocating the sway bar?

Apparently, 2nd gen Tacos require one with aftermarket coilovers that are a larger diameter than stock. My truck already had an ARB 3" lift when i took it over from a friend. The shop that did the lift evidently didn't do the relocate, so the sway bar rubs the bottom of the coil. The kit is supposed to lower the sway bar a bit so it doesn't rub.

On my basic 09 Valet key only opens the doors . No chip in it so it won't start the engine. I keep mine in my wallet

thanks man. I don’t mind the wheels, but dip only lasts so long and I’m tired of doing it lol. These are chrome underneath and if I want them powdercoated it’s going to be around $850.

this is how it looked before.

Also, yes they make all sorts of dip colors now, it’s wild.

Honestly, I really like the look of the truck in the “before” pic too. It just looks silly with chrome now. Let me find a pic from before the dip.....

it seems to be a good colorZ it got really cloudy after these pics so I haven’t really seen it well yet. I’ll post some up after it’s completely dry.

Took more than a day, but finally finished up stuffing a VR10 I picked up from @sidetracked into the ARB. Rewired the control pack and mounted it in the engine bay up near ABS. Found a nice offset hawse fairlead for ARBs at Custom Splice and a cheap flip-up plate holder on Amazon.
