Apparently, 2nd gen Tacos require one with aftermarket coilovers that are a larger diameter than stock. My truck already had an ARB 3" lift when i took it over from a friend. The shop that did the lift evidently didn't do the relocate, so the sway bar rubs the bottom of the coil. The kit is supposed to lower the sway bar a bit so it doesn't rub.

On my basic 09 Valet key only opens the doors . No chip in it so it won't start the engine. I keep mine in my wallet

thanks man. I don’t mind the wheels, but dip only lasts so long and I’m tired of doing it lol. These are chrome underneath and if I want them powdercoated it’s going to be around $850.

this is how it looked before.

Also, yes they make all sorts of dip colors now, it’s wild.

Honestly, I really like the look of the truck in the “before” pic too. It just looks silly with chrome now. Let me find a pic from before the dip.....

Took more than a day, but finally finished up stuffing a VR10 I picked up from @sidetracked into the ARB. Rewired the control pack and mounted it in the engine bay up near ABS. Found a nice offset hawse fairlead for ARBs at Custom Splice and a cheap flip-up plate holder on Amazon.

Still good lokin wheels and truck. I like chrome or polished wheels just not with white , personal taste.

It a pretty cool tool. You plug it into any OBD2 port and download the bafx bluetooth obd2 scan tool on your android device and it will display the error codes, and other info about your car/truck.

That’s not a valet key, That’s just a copy to open doors. What’s the point of giving that key to a valet if they can’t move the vehicle.

A true valet key will only open doors and start vehicle, will not open glove box, trunk etc.

Works great. Standard Yakima bar set up over the cab and fender tie down loops. And of course the Hitch canoe loader/T bar. Solid as a rock. Allows access to all your shit right there in the bed under a locking tonneau.

editing to add: that’s a 17’ canoe. A 13’ kayak won’t have this spread. You could use the rear bar placement on the cab, which would be nearly three feet closer to the tail gate...but still may not leave you much to hold onto. Guesstimating that would leave your mount points approx 8 ft apart.

Moves the sway bar forward on the frame.

Valet keys lock and unlock doors and start engines. They don't give access to locked glove boxes and trunks. That way a valet can get in, move the vehicle, and lock the vehicle.
