The smart fight isn’t always the most entertaining. Holly is a different fighter than she was in 2015.

 

I have to think all the marital issues she had weighed more heavily on her than many thought and maybe she should have stepped away for a while.

So, I know Cowboy won’t hang it up but he needs to if he plans on fighting top tier guys now. That was fast.

 

Yeah that sucked man. I love the guy but the way he's at it, he's going to be a gatekeeper . I mean I think he's at a point his fight IQ is just questionable now. He even said, the shoulder strike caught him off guard. At that point, i would've thought he ought to backup and reset.

Well said. I’m a big Cowboy fan as well and hate slapping the “gatekeeper” tag on him but that’s the reality of it now. I’ve always questioned his fight IQ against top tier guys but he’s still usually loads of fun to watch.

 

Talking about a money fight. But, Mas wrecks him.

 

yeah that’s a real matchup. Cowboy was just relevant enough in the current standings for it to not be an such an obvious bone throw from the UFC to get Connor back in the mix. This was a stepping stone fight. I wanna see masvidal vs Connor. I really don’t like Connors chances against Usman. That wrestling is going to be the khabib fight all over again

 

I've seen shoulder strikes in the clinch in other fights, but never seen anything like that! Always a loyal fan to Cerrone, win or lose!

 

yeah, that shoulder shucking is a great strike when done properly. Connor did it perfectly. In the same spot he kneed moments before! He totally swarmed cowboy from the start. Easy money

 

That's disappointing, I really just wanted to see a competitive fight. I'm still a fan of Cowboy but most people don't realize that he wasn't even ranked at welterweight.
I'm just looking forward to Conor actually fighting a top 5 lightweight or welterweight, I wouldn't be surprised if he wants to fight BJ Penn next <------ sarcasm
