So I thought about that overnight and checked my logbook, this could have possibly happened on my watch. In 2001 I asked my ex-fiance to run my car to town and get the AC charged.

Me and Dave’s wife were doing a bit of drinking last night; The band frontman’s wife kept buying us shots of Jose Cuervo! Also went up with the band and played tambourine for a bit!

Also, at about 6am this morning, I fumbled for my Yeti full of ice water and dumped it over on my nightstand; My PS4 is on my nightstand!

The water seems to have only gotten on the outer casing of the console, but I'm not gonna fire it up yet just to be safe; Also knocked a whole bunch of stuff off the nightstand during the "water on the PS4" fiasco and have yet to find my glasses (as in my eyeglasses, not something I drink from)...

Lesson of the morning; No game consoles sharing the same surface as full Yeti mugs!

Okay, so I guess I'll talk about my history with video game...

The original PlayStation was released in North America in September 1995, a full year before Nintendo 64. My best friend Mike has an original 1995 PlayStation, that I believe his parents bought him for Christmas that year; My parents did not buy a computer with Windows until 1996, so I didn't really have much in the way of computer games until then...

For Christmas in 1998, my dad bought me Monster Truck Madness 2 for the PC, and that was my favorite game for over a year; I even continued playing it regularly after I finally got a PlayStation console for Christmas in 1999. The PlayStation, as far as I know, still works; However, I have not seen it since at least 2002.

My parents bought me a PS2 for Christmas in 2001, and I was not even expecting it; Because the PS2 was also backwards compatible with original PlayStation games, my PlayStation fell into disuse and got packed away when we moved Washington (state) to Northern Virginia in the summer of 2002.

My first PS2 starting having problems in 2003 or so, and my dad had it repaired at an independent game shop in Fairfax County, called Star Land if I remember correctly; The first PS2 failed completely while we were on vacation at my Grandma's house in Maine during the summer of '03; Normally, I'd be spending my time on the lake, but my dad wasn't there for the first half which means I didn't access to the boat and thus couldn't go fishing in my favorite spot. As such, I resorted to hooking my PS2 to this ancient 1980s 15-inch-or-so TV that my Grandma pulled from one of the guestrooms and I'd set up in my room; Most of my days prior to my parents arriving were spent playing Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. The PS2 failed completely, so my dad drove across the state line to New Hampshire where there is no sales tax (a glorious thing) and bought me a new one at Walmart!

This second PS2 survived having a glass of water spilled on it, and I still have it somewhere, but I have no seen it since 2010 (I vaguely remember lending it to the Coffeehouse after I got my first PS3, and I don't remember if I ever "repossessed" it when I stopped going there).

I bought my first PS3 in the summer of 2010, the first console I'd ever bought with my own money; It was an original debut year 2006 model, purchased new by someone I no longer associate with, and sold to my best friend Mike in either 2009 or 2010. Mike bought a newer PS3 console, and I bought the 2006 PS3 for $100; This console was purchased in May or June of 2010, and didn't even last the entire summer. Mike offered my money back, but I'd had my fun with it and felt bad taking the money; Unfortunately, the PS3 had died with my new (to me) preowned copy of Mercenaries: World in Flames inside. I tried every civilized means of extracting the game, but for some reason even a traditional screwdriver wouldn't work. I resorted to beating the shit out of the completely nonoperational PS3, and succeeded in getting the damn thing open, but also succeeded in breaking the Mercenaries disc in half...

My plan was to just buy another PS3, but my parents felt bad that I'd already dropped a hundred bucks on one PS3 only for it to die a couple months later, so they bought me a new PS3 for Christmas in 2010. I played this PS3 fairly regularly from 2010 to 2016, but then I bought a PS4 in November 2016 and have not seen the PS3 since then (I'm sure it's around the house somewhere, hiding in plain sight, since we'd already been living in the new house since March 2016).

The PS4 was a classic impulse buy; My cousin informed me that she was buying a PS4 for her husband, specifically at a Target Cyber Monday Sale, for $75 off! This was just $225, and it came with a copy of the latest Uncharted game! I'd been working at Puck for over a year at that point, and I also had a decent inheritance from my Grandma who'd died in 2015, so I bought it. I still have that same console now, and I'm hoping no water go inside it during this morning's Yeti Incident!

Yeah! Not many bars have it, but you can buy it in 6-pack, 12-pack, and even the huge cases at the beer distributors here in PA!

Actually, the bar where I worked from December 2014 to January 2019 didn't stock Molson, but a lot of other bars I've been to do.

If he still has that original one, not many survived. They were prone to overheating and the lens wouldn't read..I had one of the first runs as well.

My 1999 model still worked, but having a PS2 rendered it rather pointless; I love the PS2, but I can't believe that the graphics were considered cutting edge even almost twenty years ago! By the way, I paid less for my PS4 in 2016 than my parents paid for my PS2 in 2001!

The 1995 run was the faulty model. They also had a bypass to play Japanese games without having to modify the console, which made them very desireable back then.

I'm on my 3rd PS1. I had the first one right when they came out reserved, got a new one in 1996, then another in 1999. I do have a PS2 I got in 2005 which is my most current system..unless you count the retro consoles.

Thats interesting. Not a huge fan of that beer to be honest though, i prefer smaller breweries around here.
