    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

    2 things on the brakes...

When you bleed the brakes, make sure you bleed the load sensing proportioning valve first, then bleed farthest to closest to master cylinder.

Also, if you have any lift in the back, a LSPV relocation bracket does make a difference.

I do have the LSPV relocation bracket installed that came with the OME kit from Wheelers. I didn't bleed the LSPV because I thought the fluid passed through it and bleeding downstream from it at the drivers rear would be sufficient. I'll do that valve as well when I redo it and I'll consider the first attempt as a planned system flush ;-)

Also. This my experience with Tundra brakes.

I do feel some improvement in regular driving conditions but that's not really where they shine (in my experience).

    Hard braking = big improvement.
Much less brake fade in the mountains/loaded.

Also... I used to have to replace rotors every other year because of warping. I've gone 2 years now since doing Tundra brakes. I run much bigger tires than I used to, my truck is driven much more loaded with gear than I used to carry, and I do a lot more driving in extremes than I used to.

For the first time since I've owned the truck (15 years) I did the brake pads without having to also change the rotors.

Who has replaced the input seal and output seals on their (Jshift) Tcase? Is it a pain in the ass?

Wondering if @Timmah! has done a video that I'm not finding.

Need to drop my Tcase and figure out where I'm losing oil. Could.be one of the seals... or it could also be I didn't re-seal it well enough when I had it open to remove the "pill" when I was doing the twin sticks... If I drop it though, I'll want to replace all 3 seals. Just wanting to pick someone's brain that has done it.

Your cam gear wear looks perfect. That one cam has a split gear with springs to preload it so it always is lashed ideally

Thanks for chiming in Zane! Peace of mind to know it's normal. Truck is running better than it has in years! Also, thank you for your help getting my confidence up with these projects, I've gotten a lot better since we wrenched together a year or two ago.

Im glad! It's pretty darn freeing to be able to work on your own vehicles. Especially when they're aged like ours, we're officially in the classic range so many new techs haven't had to deal with our rigs now.

If I ever build a Hammers Everyman Challenge truck... I just may do those.

I'm slowly gaining momentum towards approval from the wife on this, so it's not all the way out of the relm of possibility.

No way I would ever spend that kind of money on anything less than a race truck, when the Tundra mod can be done for one tenth the cost.

My thoughts. I would love to do it to mine... but 2 grand is too much. I might see if I can get some wilwoods to fit... aluminium callipers are soo much nicer to work with (since they weigh so little)

You have to be really careful with how you spec alum calipers though. They stretch and you can overtax them and actually get a worse pedal with improper setup.
