I can’t believe how shoddy the gps unit is in these trucks. I would prefer a Garmin unit. Anyone else agree?

I use mine pretty often and generally like it. No it's not Tomtom and no, it isn't the best out there by any means, but I like using the HU screen, like that is shows lanes and upcoming exits on screen, and also that heads up display too.

Dont really understand all the hate it gets here, but I also wish I had android auto with google maps, would be better.

It’s not apple or google maps but for those who travel outside of cell service it does its job perfectly fine. Wish map updates were free but is what it is. Even if I knew how to download maps prior to going outside cell range I’d still rather use the trucks gps due to the convenience.

Your nav doesn't crap and only lead you to restrooms?

I’ve used mine for thousands of miles. Never really had any issues. There’s been a couple times where it didn’t have new roads but overall I’m not sure what people think is so terrible about it...

But how else will I find how to get home unless my nav shows me?

I am personally not that great with street names, but I've been living in the same area for almost fifteen years; I've been a licensed driver for almost nine of those years and can generally find my way home based on landmarks and the fact that I've lived here so long!

I've had it lead me astray several times. I put Google nav on simultaneously to see the difference in route recommendations, and it's hilarious where Entune wants me to go in comparison.

Bottom line, I don't really trust it.

You can’t save a list of waypoints. I’d like to put about 50 in and scroll through them.

Doesn’t show POI’s on the map.

you have to pay to update it..

it should have more features like a Garmin.

If you want to navigate to a city 500 miles away without putting in a street address you can’t do that.

I'm telling you. Pre-program that lousy nav system to where you need to go most and 8/10 times you'll get there. the other two you may drive into a lake, but if you have a good lawyer you'll be fine
