What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Looks like I will be needing to do rear brakes soon. I have shoes, should I go with OEM drums or is there a good aftermarket brand? Should I go to one of the chain stores that offer lifetime brakes and spend a little more? What’s the consensus?

 

Got a temp bed platform installed so people can't access my bed storage.
I have a pop and lock that will be installed before anything is put under it.

 

Threw some bed channel stiffeners on from @CaliRaisedLed. Stupid easy. My only complaint is that I had to cut my bed mat to fit. Other than that, if your looking to buy some and not spend a ton of money, purchase through them.

 

Maaco in my area quoted me 338$ with a three day turn around

 

Asked this before but didn’t see a reply...was this proactive or did you already have some ‘splay’ in the sides? If splayed, did they draw the sides in??

 

Proactive as I recently picked up a used camper shell. I won’t have any more info until I go for a spirited drive lol.

I installed @At The Helm fabrication bed stiffeners on mine after having a camper shell on mine for almost 2 years. The bedside splayed out about a 1/4" on both sides and they pulled in the bedsides.

 

I think you misunderstood, I was also having a problem with the faceplate rattling out but when I attached the little yellow factory clips to the four pegs on the metra kit it popped into place and has been solid ever since.

 

Finally washed and waxed her after tons of wheeling trips! Much needed!

 

upgraded my factory stereo and integrated it into the original dash kit!!

 

Finally got a break in the weather here & was able to re-install my Westin nerf step bars that I had removed and coated with Herculiner. Think they turned out pretty good. Bit shiny now, but sounds like the finish dulls a little after being out in the elements for a while. See how it goes for durability, but it seems solid
Before:
Gave the chrome a pretty good sanding, and applied 3 light coats of herculiner. Had the 1 gallon kit and used maybe a quarter of it at most

 

I need to do pretty bad. It gets chilly in the 30 degree weather
