Thanks! I did kill my first whitetail this year but it’s nothing to brag about. The big Muley and Blacktail are in the house.

 

Some of those look more like the elusive blacktail variety judging by the size of the ones on the far right. The kind that come out and eat your rose bushes any day of the year except the middle to end of October and 2nd week of November.

The heavy horned ones look like mule deer since they have 3pt min, and I don't normally see WT racks that color.

 

How can they do so fuckin dumb and so smart at the same time? Bastards. I did make braised blacktail shank for dinner tho. They are fuckin deliciouso

 

Tag soup for me this year. I didn't have much time to get out besides what time I was in the woods for work.

 

I had elk tag soup, and doe tag soup. Gonna try turkey for the first time this spring though

Nice find. Struts are cheap on Amazon. Just find out the extended length, the retracted length and the lbs of force and find the nearest match. I've had great luck with "lift supports depot" on Amazon. I use them on my camping trailer lid... (2) 350 lbs struts.
