It is bad. it can damage your radio, but an SWR of 2.0 is not ideal, but okay. I'd be worried if it was over 2.0 on either CH1, CH20 or CH40.

 

I think it's the location I'm gonna move the antenna tommorow

Think I'm gonna be crazy sumbitch that mounts a whip antenna to a roof rack I'm.gonna see how many low power lines I can hit

 

What is your ground like between your antenna mount and the truck?

 

Bracket is stainless steel I used the 2 bolts inside the bed

 

Sand/grind some paint off and see if it improves your ground. Check to make sure that area makes contact with the frame ground under the taillamp.

Whatever day of the week you think it is, it is. Going to whack down some bushes and force us to make a new choice out front today. Working on my new project pics too, trying to catch up.

 

Morning Kurt, the wind was brutal yesterday. Cleaned up after the mason work yesterday, wanted to get more done but had to hide from the wind. Will get some boards cut this morning for the ms and then some more clean up in the shop.

 

It was the coldest C&C I can remember, even when the actual temperature what colder!
My little book keeps adding those projects for me too, but I have to do the bushes today, because city will pick up brush tomorrow - or it's wait a month.
Lots more to do to wrap the wiring in LBR, but it all works at the moment. And I found about $80 worth of Amazon I needed last night to "complete it the way I want!"
