That would be me. I'll probably go up Wednesday night if I do the day Thursday there. So long as there's a place for me to crash the 2 nights there at the house. My dog likes the beach she'd be happy to have a beach day thrown into a woods adventure.

Where do you camp in Old Orchard Beach? That’s not far from the Lobster Shack at Two Lights.

Got up into NMW this weekend, road was smooth as glass and just as slick! Got into some deep snow and had fun.

Zach did you spend the night?

I have next few days off, sadly RTT is not on my rig... did go out on a little trail nearby, but was not the first out there, new tires do great in the snow.

tomorrow is order front bumper, and install some stuff day... I have a Tabor 9k winch that I plan to pull apart, and see if I need anything for it (looking at getting the WARN sealed solenoid upgrade kit) $165, and a synthetic winch line for it.. and i plan to install my Expedition Essentials 3TPAM https://expeditionessentials.com/products/toyota-tacoma-3rd-gen-usb-powered-accessory-mount, and my tablet mount. also planning to place the order for a front bumper... just have to make up my mind which one I want.. victory 4x4 hybrid, SSO hybrid... dunno..

Those TPAMs are a bitch to install. Give yourself enough time.

How do you like it? I'm hoping to get a way for Open GPX (app for phone) to work on android/apple on the truck but might be SOL. Haven't tried a lot, to be fair.

Works great. I have two ham radios, a phone mount and a power supply. Can't ask for much more.

I just run Gaia on my cell phone. Works well. More than large enough for navigating. These guys that run tablets in their trucks with maps are compensating for something I suspect.

Sweet. Definitely don't want a tablet, I have a screen that toyota has given me anyway. Trying to get that to work, makes the most logical sense. Just need to get a phone to push to it. I'll give Gaia a looksie.

I have both a tablet for mapping at a dinner table and the phone. The detail available while traveling isn't that much different for most people. There's obviously exceptions if adjustments need to be made for personal reasons. But as a welder with compromised vision myself I don't have any issue navigating with it.

And my map of the NE England is highlighted and marked up like a 10yr old went to town on an etch as sketch.

    But that's just my 2c.

Sure did! What a trip.. 7° Sat night when I finally found a place to camp, 7° waking up Sun morning. But I did make it all the way to the border which was my goal.

This is how I started Sun morning. Broke through the crust 15 feet from my campsite, no joke..

Actually didnt get much snow that far West where I was, but it started to get deep fast as I was headed back East. Which made things very interesting.. Made it about 30 miles before my air filter was very unhappy. Then 10 miles. After which I got some tools out.

haha true, but that was wet and heavy. This was super fine dry snow. Think it might be time for a snorkel.. :anonymous:
