Prices will depend on the size and load range you are buying. My 275/65/18s were 260.00 a piece. All 18s are E load. That's before taking the 40.00 for GY cc purchase & 100.00 treadlightly discounts off but basically all those rebates covered was the mounting/balancing/stems.

I just had my 265/75/16's installed today. I could definately feel a huge difference once I started driving on them. Here are some pics but I don't think that they do these tires justice. They look awsome and I got compliments the first place I drove to after they were installed!

I drove on the highway yesterday after I got mine installed and they were surprisingly quiet, just a slight humm. My wife was worried about how loud they would be and even she said she was surprised at how quiet they were. The ride was also incredibly smooth and I could definately tell a huge difference from the Dunlops I had on there.

I have the 2.7 and mine are great. I second every positive thing said about these tires so far. Although I can't accurately compare them to the stock rubber as I picked up my girl with them already on. My tire size is 265/70R17

No vibes & only enough hum to tell you aren't on street tires. Also doing mostly frwy back and forth to work but do throw in a 1/2 mile of trail that is conveniently located on my way home just for fun.

I also have 2.7 lifted with 275/75/18s. They weigh 50 lbs each (E load). They weigh the same as the 285/60/18 NTGs that were on it before but are 32" instead of 31". It's right on the edge of needing regearing but I won't be doing that. Getting right at 20mpg with AC & mostly frwy driving.

    TERRIBLE TERRIBLE NEWS!!!

I have been keeping an eye on these 285/75s on TireRack for a while now. I've just been waiting till I had the money. Well, the price just Skyrocketed from $204 to $216. That might not seem like too much, but that's $48 more for a set of four. If you google them, Google still thinks their $204. I checked 4wheelparts and they have for $203.99 currently, but I fear that might go up before I have the money. Blahhhhhh!!!

Pricing went up across the board as of October 1st...good thing I called and got a price quote on Wednesday from my local tire guys. They are honoring the old price ($141 vs. $156) and not charging me for shipping :yay: (they're not a GY dealer so its special order). That plus the tread lightly rebate/refund I'll be shoveling out no more the $670 for everything.

I need to get new tires before winter and I'm up in the air between the Duratacs, BFG AT's and Michelin AT's. Driving is mostly on-road with about half of that on the highway. Very little offroading right now but I need good traction in the snow. My only concern with the Duratracs is the comments I've read about messy handling and sidewall flex. Should I stick with a C load rating or go with an E for the stiffer sidewall? I rarely tow, and when I do it's generally under 2k lbs.

I'm putting on some 5100's this fall so what's the largest size I can fit without rubbing?

Largest with simply setting the 5100s at .85 will be 265/75. Some will say NO lift is necessary, but it is universally excepted that .85 garantees no rub. If you get the rear TSB done and the 5100s @ .85, you'll pretty much maintain your current rake (forward lean) and have a slightly larger tire. Essentially, maintaining the stock look with a larger tire. ;)

Don't know about the C vs. E tire. I plan to get the E since that's the only option with the 285/75. But I've been of the understanding that they handled quite well in the snow. They better, since that's the primary reason I NEED an A/T.

I'm assuming you were reading the customer reviews on tirerack.com and the like. If you noticed, most of the negative comments came from full size truck owners and truck owners who tow/haul a lot, not Tacoma owners. That's like comparing apples and oranges. I had narrowed my search down to the duratracs and a couple of others (long before consulting TW ) but started to have second thoughts after reading the reviews. I started to realize that most of the negative comments were most likely due to owners just not picking out tires that were appropriate for their driving needs and habits.

I'm hoping I made the right choice in getting the Duratracs...they should be in today or tomorrow!

Yeah I was reading the reviews on Tire Rack. I'm leaning towards the C load rating because I really don't see a need for E rated tires on a Tacoma that doesn't see much towing.

I'm considering a lift package from ToyTech with the Eibach springs/AALs and 5100s all around. Although I have the TSB springs so maybe I should just get the 5100s with the fronts cranked to 2.5 and some AALs for the back. Are the Eibachs worth it for the front?

I have the C load rating Duratracs 265/75/16. Bilsteins at 1.5 and the TSB leaf. I tow a trailer with a large ATV often (appr. 2000lbs) and I have no issues with the Duratracs whatsoever. The handling is super and have experienced no side roll at all. I travel about 600 miles round trip from interstate 70+ mph to tight mountain roads. The duratracs are a great choice and wont let you down. It doesnt hurt that they get a ton of compliments for the look either.
