Help with setting and freq

Jvc 840 deck

Mid high

4 channel sundown

Front channel high

Rear mids



What setting I put on deck I running active



Front rainbow tweeter germanium

Rear rainbow mids



Now on deck I put both on pass through

Or 80hz?



Front tweeter channel 1 and 2





Rear mids 3 and 4

Setting on amp is set for the mid and high already

My question is because the truck got fixed and reset everything on the deck what the crossover frequency I put for front which is the tweeter and the rear is the mids? I'm running active and the setting on the 4 channel amp is set for the mids and highs. I set it at something or pass thru?

If your amplifier has crossover settings, set your HU to pass-through and use the amplifier's crossover settings.

You will have to look at the specifications for the speakers you are using to determine the crossover points. I suspect you haven't gotten quick responses because you're basically asking other people to look up your gear and do the work for you.

 

Noo I think everyone was mis-interperting it wrong.. I just wanted to know about resetting the deck only and that the amp crossover setting was still set and the same.

I just wasnt sure on what it was.

Yes. You don't want to use multiple crossovers because it affects phase even more than just using one.

 

What happens with that? Just for future reference...the phase?

 

Any time you use a crossover, you cause a shift in time. It means the filtered signal is no longer in time with the rest of the system and you have to correct that. It's one of the reasons time alignment exists.

 

So what happen with a double filter same signal time get delayed more?
