Couple days after the install. First test drive after the install it was about 1 MPG drop. But after that day it's been about a 3-4 MPG difference. Temperatures dropped in the DMV area by 15-20 degrees since I mounted it on the roof and winds have been lightly stronger but nothing too dramatic.

That kind of drop would make more sense if you installed a rack an factored winter full loss as well.

Ahh okay. So you're thinking it's possibly the temperature drop and the wind causing the MPG difference?

Kinda new to this winter scene. Spent most of my life in San Diego.

I think he meant winter fuel (different formulation between summer and winter).

    I’ll chime in.

It’s been a week or so since I mounted mine, MPG dropped by 1-1.5, pretty noticeable.

I’m not sure on the specifics because I also did a lift and larger tires at the same time I got the prinsu.

but with the amount of wind resistance I’m sure you lose some mpg and it is absolutely much louder with the wind. I personally don’t mind it but you notice the sound for sure

Chiming in here because I just installed my prinsu with lightbar cutout and 40” onx6+ And am loosing about 3-4mpg @80mph….which since I do a lot of highway commuting is the speed I’m traveling at most of the time…the wind noise is also pretty significant as soon as you hit 70 or so.

With a demello front bumper, steel rear bumper, lift + 33”s and ditch lights I was getting a solid 14-15mpg when cruising long distances @80mph, doing those same routes at the same speeds I’m getting around 10.5mpg post prinsu and light bar install (no other gear on the rack) and there is noticeable drag when going over 65…like someone mentioned earlier it actually does feel like there’s a parachute attached to the rack or something.
