I just sent back two POS dash cams, WiFi and quality issues. The two had no screen and were very easy to hide behind the mirror. This model has a small screen display and is a little bigger. When mounting the cams with a display I am looking for a good place to mount it. I am not sure if the display screen should be behind the mirror or where you can see it. Not sure if the display is distracting while driving. Any pics/tips on where to install would be great. Thanks

I used a rexing v1lg for the past year. Great camera, have it mounted to the GoPro mount. I did just order a replacement (nothing wrong with old one, I just don’t need the reverse view camera as my topper blocks it.). I’m replacing it with another rexing, but this time I went with the v3, it’s a front and passenger camera, so I still get about as much of the rear as I used to, but now I get the sides too.

The old rexing had a big screen, the new one has a much smaller screen, but links to my android head unit to watch the videos.

Do you have a picture of where its mounted? Not sure if I should have the screen behind the mirror.

I used part of a gopro extension mount I had laying around, cut off part of it and super glued it to the surface mount of the camera.

I thought about that as well. If you have to take it off, it would ruin the black out. Thanks for the pictures, very helpful.

I'm on my second V3, first one had banding on night view. Maybe return yours and get a 129. I think the 129 can be viewed on a phone. I've seen the 129 for $130. for the front only cam.

on the viofo you can set the screen timeout after turn on. i set mine to 1 min but i think there is an option for a lower timeout setting. after starting the vehicle, by the time i buckle up and other things (set phone to play spotify) and back out the garage, the screen is off.

i set mine off to the right of the dotted area as the mirror got in the way so i could glance to see if the red light was on, but thats just me.

Wow, after trying and returning 3 GPS's I tried the VAVA and its fantastic. No issue with WiFi and it looks great. I ran the USB connector towards the passenger side, along and under the console. It plugs into the USB inside the console. Excellent cam with parking mode and doesn't require hard wiring. Thank you for the recommendation
