Full custom build, aside from suspension and dropper post, done by myself. I have been completely in love with this thing for the last season. Currently for sale, unfortunately. Fork has a fresh rebuild with new uppers.

Finally got my wheels and mounted today on my Evil build. Added a GX 1275 rear cassette.

First loadout on the Taco and I’ll be damned this bike is a big summabitch! Lol

All that is left is Hope Tech 3 E4s with Float rotors, X01 rear derailleur/shifter, and a chain.

    Ugh so close

Not sure whether seatpost height makes frame look small or the frame makes the seatpost look super tall. Must be optical illusion......

It’s just placed so I can hang it on my rack. Lol

after it’s all together, the seat will come down and be adjusted as I dial it into my physical frame.

Ahhh, i c said the blind man......one of my bikes has frame geometry that necessitated a longer seatpost and is why it caught my eye. The frame is 17" but looks more like a 14 or 15".

Bike looks great, anxious to hear your thoughts after riding. Looking to replace my Transition Smuggler AL frame with a Following carbon frame since it’s difficult to find carbon Smuggler frames.

Depending on the size you need, I’ve seen carbon smugglers out there. I’ve loosely been keeping an eye out myself.

What makes you want to move from the smuggler? Only asking as I’m thinking of swapping my carbon fuel frame for something else and I really enjoyed a demo ride I had on the smuggler (following is also on the interest list).

@KojiKP has a medium following, and and offering, he’s selling.

Don’t want to move away from the Smuggler, just saying finding a large carbon frame is difficult and the Evil is a close match. The Smuggler is a fantastic bike; I love the geometry and playful nature of it even with little rear travel. However, it is hefty to climb with, which I do a decent amount of

Ah gotcha, I've only been looking at mediums. I was pleasantly surprised with climbing capabilities of the Smuggler. The one I demoed was the carbon frame, but was still the lowest NX build (not light). Now I wouldn't expect to set any KOM with that bike, but from a sheer fun perspective it checks all the boxes. I've never had the opportunity to ride any of the Evil bikes but I find them intriguing. I'm a fan short to mid travel bikes so naturally the Following comes to mind.

I feel you on the climbing. I grew up in far NE Georgia, about 45min from Clemson so I'm very familiar with that terrain.

I demoed a Following in Drunken Olive. I almost immediately fell in love with it. It is 120mm travel but it feels like so much more. I also demoed a Fuel and Stumpy prior to it. But after I rode the Evil, I stopped looking. It was definitely confidence inspiring...almost to a fault. I crashed it because I simply got too ballsy.

As for the Wreckoning, the build has been great so far. After throwing in the wheels, I did notice that it DEFINITELY feels beefy. I’ll get a better gauge when everything is on.

Evil had a sale last year with $1899 for Wreckoning and Following frames. I’d imagine they will have a similar sale again this fall. Maybe even extend it to the Offering? So far I’m about $4k in. But I have a Fox Float front shock, GX cranks/chainring/cassette, SixC bar, Hope Float rotors, and I9 Enduro wheels with Torch hubs. I still have Hope f/r brakesets, X01 rear derailleur/shifter, and XX1 chain to go. I’m estimating final total will come in at around $4600. Which I think is pretty good considering the components and frame.
