hahaha not there yet. You didn't mention the transmission can have a tendency to seize up when removing it. Tyler mentioned shaking the hell out of the trans jack out of frustration when he was removing stock trans.

I did come across this so it helped a little but yeah - I foresee more colorful expletives coming from the garage...

i had the transmission on my 01 out in about 4 hours, mind you before that i had NEVER been out of the truck (even when they did the frame, the trans stayed up in the body with the engine)

that lift would make it a nightmare to remove the trans.
you need jackstands otherwise youd never get the sucker out from under the truck. i slide it out from the side onces it on the ground.

Like i said. come visit, i'll get ya squared away, in the mean time you can visit the great land of chicago and dodge bullets. if you survive you'll have a nice 4x4 taco to drive back.

i'll even throw in a taillight warranty (inquire about it.)

Hmm. Tundra needs a spare (because the current one is.. trash) I plan on going with 33s. (285s).. should I just get same diameter tire, but narrower to keep the ground clearance underneath? Hmm.. these are the questions.

Then again the width won’t really hurt anything. Hmmm I overthink things at night.

you all just need to come out west for a visit. When you were out in SoCal last, you and the GF should've taken a drive up North. I make it out that way, I'll be sure to look you and @what road up. Have to check out this 5 ton... :boink:

I know nothing on the tundra when it comes to tire clearance. I say do it. I imagine the 255 skinnies would look a little out of place on the tundra. :notsure:

A 255 just for the spare. Diameter is what you want to be similar. Width won’t hurt the diff. I’m just being me though. That 30mm difference will not affect anything unless I was running a high clearance bumper.
Damn tundra is 1.5 ft longer than even the double cab taco

I've only been to Chicago once and that was an unscheduled layover due to bad weather (was bound for Virginia on business). I remember staying right there on the lake - think it was the Sheraton. Can't remember if I had flown into O'Hare or if it was Midway. I remember not being able to sleep and just watching this crazy lightning show over the lake from my room. F-ing insane. Woke up next morning and hopped back on a plane. Ended up spending nearly 2 weeks in Virginia (was only supposed to have been a week). Way back side stop in Lincoln, Nebraska. Just for a couple of hours. Damn, that place is nothing but flat land. No thanks.

    Everything but the driveshaft. B03A - 410
Yep. Going the other way with pulling the engine, I don't remember it taking more than a tug to separate the bell housing from the block.
