Water heater sh*t the bed today. Of course on Sunday. And Monday is a plumbers holiday apparently.
Still, shut off the gas, shut off the water (that was a fight), drained the tank.
Bought a new unit, fortunately had a gift card - so new top of the line 12 year warrantee gas unit (only 1 in store) was had for price of basic electric unit. Phew.
Plumber called back while I was paying for the unit. Called back on a Sunday to tell me to find someone else as he was in school Monday, couldn't come till Tuesday. Imagine that! They don't normally even call back in this town. I told him I'd wait till Tuesday, call it a gut feeling. He went over some stuff by phone & text to be sure what I got would fit - on a Sunday night. Nice.

Guess i'll boil water on the stove & take a sponge bath Monday before work - I'm not hardy enough to take a pure cold water shower.
So over all, a bad day gone well? I think so.

I'm not up on the JBL, but the usage of fresh wire is one I endorse. I'm only using the power/ground wires to power my HU (Pioneer) of all the stuff the truck came with. I pulled new wire from the amp to the doors and used a crossover for my Rockford Fosgate tweet/6x9s

 

Over 30 indoor soccer playoff tonight, for a chance to go to the final.

Playing against a bunch of "kids"... yeah, kids, because they are all just over 30.

"I'm getting on a jet plane, don't know when I'll be back again"

-Well I actually do... My fiance and I are flying down to Daytona beach, Florida for 10 days. I'll be camping for 5 days at the speedway for the Rolex 24 hour race and then staying on the beach for the rest.

It will be 13f in the morning when I leave. Im glad that it finally started acting like January up here. I didn't want to leave CT while it's 55f and land in Florida where it is 60f.

That just wouldn't seem right.
