Probably not the usual gear you see up in here, but got some goodies today for ice fishing.

    -Fenwick medium action rod
    -Jawjacker automatic hook-setter
    -5lb fluorocarbon (LYN brand)
    -Several jigs

Yeah those cameras are sweet! Almost got one, but already have a fish finder (like the humminbird system that was sitting on the ice in the background of that video) that works good.

If I can get into some trout this year, next investment will be the camera forsure. So cool to see what’s going on below the hole.

Not ice fishing related but I’ve assembled my downriggers and the quick release pads for the boat that my grandpa left me. Time to hit some trolling and pull up some koke.

FUUUUCKKKKK yes! With a system like that, I feel like you could probably put in at any of these lakes/reservoirs and lower it down and sit back while the boat/down-rigger does all the work.

@Porter707 how you liking the SLX 150 DC at this point? I have a chance to snag one for a decent price from a friend, but wanted to see how yours was treating you thus far.

Damn. Neighbor and fishing buddy put in an offer on a 17’ Boston Whaler. Didn’t get it...

Need to fish, been too long. Kinda the off-season around here

If you’ve got a chance to snag it on a deal I’d go for it! I like it, although I just did get another Curado DC in the other day.

Any major differences between the SLX DC and Curado DC that you have noticed beyond the stats? I haven't owned any Shimano DC reels, so I'm curious if there is a difference between those two in real-world use.

Anyone go out this weekend? I didn't go out, but I did get my gear ready for this coming weekend... going to be ice fishing all weekend with the pops and my two brothers. Hoping to get a few decent trout.

Damn! Sucks to hear everyone is getting skunked. I was going to hit the Delta today or tomorrow and then it started to piss-pour rain again this morning.... no thanks. I love fishing, but not that much.

I am so F'ing pumped for 2020. The Delta gave me some of the best fishing of my life late last year, so Im ready to repeat that again this year. Still can't get over how crazy the bite was last fall. Been harboring gear and such all winter for the first spring day to arrive.

Yeah, I almost didn't either when I went to check out and it was almost $70. Fuckinnnnn priceayyyyyyy.

i went to new beach and got skunked for perch and crab... saw on another forum that a guy was at the other end of the same beach and he got 1 of each... it takes time to find the honey holes..
